  I keep thinking that I’ll like Sam Raimi and I keep being let down. I respect him a lot and I respect the campiness of a lady being hexed by a haggard gypsy crone in a modern horror movie but this just never sticks the landing for me. The special effects just look so so bad and the movie uses way too much of them for me to write them off. I feel like nobody is really characterized all that…

  Oh my god Christina come on. Idk what is up with her, she’s an extremely funny person naturally and I love her on all of her podcasts and stuff but her standup is always so so so so so bad. It’s just like the most cliche “in my generation we didn’t have safe spaces” bullshit. She does a bit about Pepe le pew being problematic. Oh my god so grating

  Disney block busters used to be so cool this stuff has infinitely more personality and watchability than 99.8% of marvel stuff. It’s so much fun. It’s like at least 45 minutes longer than what would be considered acceptable for a modern block Buster but it’s also so much more watchable and less grating. Worth revisiting
