Ah yes, this one is amazing! What a shock!
So turns out I actually have seen an Alfonso Cuarón film, and it turns out I've been a fan since 2004!
LOVED this! This film feels like the border between cute and fuzzy Harry Potter and dark, brooding, violent Harry Potter - in the next one the Dark Lord returns.
The detail in this film is amazing, as Cuarón drops hints everywhere about the time traveling and it never comes off as being too much. It never felt like it was in my face, as they were usually short moments or a line or two about where Hermione came from.
Gary Oldman as Sirius Black is *chef kiss*, and Professor Lupin is so awesome, I always loved the pair of these characters.
Not much else to say for this one, besides reiterating that it's nearly perfect (like most Harry Potter films right?)
I solemnly swear I review these films with no bias!
P.S. I got my bluray set, might F around and just watch it all the way through again except this time...it’ll be BLURAY!
