One of the best documentaries I've seen, absolutely riveting. Often documentaries on a persons intimate world gets taken far from truth to a glamorizing of the person, who the public want to believe the person is, this film takes you straight into the shadows, shades of light and bleak dark, and all the layers between.

I was super excited for this film, I mean who doesn't like French aristocracy.  But for me this film was extremely difficult to follow. It also had very little consistency which also took me away from being engulfed.
Hope the upcoming Napoleon has a bit more to offer.

I was shocked by how this film shook me. I did not like Murder on the Orient Express at all,(which is saying a lot due to my intense love of Victorian trains, lol) so I figured this film would just be at best a distraction. However, it spoke to me.

Pure pleasure; mysterious Venice, masks hiding true characters, and the history of Hallows Eve. The writing was quite good, makes you think, ponder ghosts, darkness, and why some of us…

Love this mainly for the music, mesmerizing clay art, and enduring memories of my youth. Simple pleasures can be so underrated.

A lovely old film. When Fred dances it's as if he's flying, kind of freaks me out.

Everything we were already aware of, I was hoping for a twist or new information. What I do appreciate is the victims speaking about how if affected  them. It is important to see what sexual abuse does to the human psyche. You could see it in these men, you could feel it still existing for them.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"I am, plus my surroundings, and if I do not preserve the latter, I do not preserve myself."

The person who quotes this in the film lives his life fully within someone else; their talent, their devotion, their dream.

It must take such enormous strength to contend with a husband that must live completely in the spotlight of the marriage and family.

Thank goodness for the acting of Glenn Close, and for English actor who plays a narcissist so well. And yet…
