"You can kill a freedom fighter, but you cannot kill freedom"
A very powerful biopic, and without any doubt necessary considering the current struggle against police brutality. I see, the Americans decided to do their own version of small axe's Mangrove. I guess they thought trial of the Chicago 7 wasn't enough, which I agree by the way. Judas and the black Messiah was an emotional ride filled with rage, sorrow and pain to how humans can be so cruel to one another. It's a tale of betrayal, corrupt system and racism that will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. How can you assassinate someone in their sleep? Where's your humanity? Humans are the true savages of this world, animals don't stand a chance when it comes to morality.
I truly am grateful for biopics like these, to show where we were and where we're headed. Not a good place I tell you. I doubt the system is changing anytime soon, all they do is put another flame out while waiting for another.
Powerful film that really questions a person's morality. Watch it if you care about this world.
