So this is another one that dropped for me. It may seem like I am down on the MCU as a whole, but I swear I still enjoy most of them.
I think this one just suffers a bit from having to follow up one of the greatest cinematic accomplishments of all-time. And while they got a big-ass name in Jake Gyllenhaal to be Mysterio, which is really cool, and some of the CGI is fantastic, I just found too many issues with the story, mostly related to the blip and shit. For example (if I remember correctly), the way this timeline works out, Tony would've made the glasses while Peter was blipped. It's easy enough to ignore but the more I thought about it, the more it annoyed me.
There are still some fun action sequences in this and I still like Tom Holland, although Jacob Batalon is demoted to comic relief in this film. I also think this has one of the better post-credit scenes in the entire MCU.
But yeah, this one has some issues for me.
