this movie has officially been approved by my metalhead biker stepdad who is about as stereotypically "masculine" as they come – do whatever you want with that piece of information, but it's proof enough that this movie is not only enjoyable for women (although it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if that were the case, either)
upon a rewatch, i definitely agree with my mum (who also really liked it, by the way) when she pointed out that some of the dialogue – particularly in the earlier phases of the movie – fell a bit flat and lacked soderbergh's razor-sharp wittiness from the original trilogy
BUT i still stand by my initial impression: movie fun, ladies hot, ocean's franchise iconic and female friendships nurturing for my soul
