I had seen some of the trailer so had a bit of an idea what this was about. Pretty bummed the part I did see in a way ruined the movie, wish I did a better job avoiding it.
I really loved the cast. I thought everyone was great and fitting. For reals hearing Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart together really made me want to rewatch Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle again so won't be surprised if I log it again soon. 😂 But yeah really loved everyone but my favorite favorite was Kate McKinnon! I had no idea that was her ha ha. I kept trying to figure it out while watching and just couldn't ha ha. She was a blast.
I thought this looked nice. Fun looking animation.
I enjoyed the score thought it was fitting. Nothing that made a huge impression but worked. And of course it was amazing hearing those iconic DC themes!! 😉 I enjoyed the songs they chose for certain scenes more. Fun soundtrack and whenever I hear Chemical Brothers is a win for me!
I thought this story was a lot of fun. Sure some of it was too silly for my taste and yes of course this is hella predictable. After a certain point you know exactly what is going to happen. But you know what I went in for a fun, cute, animated story and that's what I got. And I just really enjoy these DC characters so just fun. And like I said the voice cast was a blast and I really enjoyed the villain. O and totally teared up a couple times ha ha. I'm sure people will be able to figure out at least once scene I totally teared up at. 😝 O and I enjoyed the end credits sceneS. Yeah there were 2.
Is it a need to own? No but maybe down the line a really great deal comes up I wouldn't be surprised if I buy it. And while I don't see a ton of rewatches with this right now I for see a handful more watches.
Side note: had the giant theater to myself till a mother and young daughter walked in shortly after it started, they seemed to have had a blast with this. 😊
