    Independence Day: Resurgence

    ★★

Re-watched this enjoyable turd and giving my two cents. It's re-used cents and no new insight will be provided. I liked the spectacle of it all but it is stupid, unfathomably stupid. Bill Pullman is embarrassing as the tormented ex-president, the banter between Jeff Goldblum and take your pick from the indifferent cast of forgettable, young character actors is cringe-inducing, Charlotte Gainsbourg has a thankless and unnecessary role and to paraphrase Ron Motley you just wanna wipe the smirk of…

Raising my rating with half a star after re-watching this poorly received live action adaptation of a beloved manga. The weirdest thing about it is that it was directed by the same guy who made the indifferent and dull "Snow White and the Huntsman".

I know that IMDB ratings are not "scientific" as measures of a movie's popularity or notoriety but they give a…

TOUGH GUYZ 2: STOP OR MY GRANDPA' WILL SHOOT: I laughed my head off watching this ridiculous movie. But I wasn't particularly amused. It was the type of laughter that villains in bad movies are prone to engage in, dry and sarcastic. Anyway. Every single actor, including the lovely and apparently slumming Amy Ryan seems to be suffering from tetanus. Fiddy Cents seems even more wussier than he uses to, Stallone speaks in somber, three-word sentences that sound like profound…
