Nobody needed to make the definitive COVID movie but nonetheless amazed at how this manifests visual-aural sensations of 2020 — wandering empty streets, every meet-up a clandestine operation, failing to compartmentalize bits and pieces of information from a phone. Had almost no idea what was going on at any moment, kept thinking my TV was fucked up. Already seems a key text.

A movie for anyone who's ever been in love or had a really hot Jewish babysitter. The kind of movie that makes you want to stand up and cheer!

hadnt seen this since that five-or-so year stretch following its opening where it felt everything in pop culture was a reflection of it. seeing it now, i'm so taken with the Wachowski's classical film grammar and synthesis of the previous 50 years of cinema while simultaneously forging new cinematic dialects. just stunning.
