    Titanic (1953)

This film deals with a unhappy couple with 2 kids on board the Titanic. We get a lot of family drama and not a lot of disaster. The iceberg only shows up an 1 hour into this 90 minute film. It does do a fairly good job with it's sinking however but the end feels like it was cut short, so it lost that emotional pull. All in all it's not a bad drama about a family dealing with their issues and a daughter meeting a boy but it's pretty lacking for a Titanic flick.

This was an odd experience. The first half of the movie is spent talking about shares in the White Star Line and how worried the president is about the future of his company. I do not hate this movie. Let me explain. Yes the story is a complete mess and the title was more or less false advertising but I find this flick to be so damn entertaining. Friday the 13th

This classic slasher was the start of (what would become) one of the biggest franchises in horror history. It's fairly basic, but it gives you everything a slasher should: Great kills, Atmosphere and likeable characters. It does however ultimately fail in its execution of being a ''who dunnit''. Betsy Palmer's performance and Tom Savini's pratical effects are the true standouts of this film. 7.5/10
