Nathan Spencer’s review published on Letterboxd:
Only love can drive out hate.
The first act is a mess. But that final 1hr 30 is peak Spike. Da 5 Bloods is an examination of an immoral war and souls it rendered irreparable. Trauma, guilt, greed, and forgiveness; all are showcased and explored while packaged within an action film.
Delroy Lindo is flat out incredible and easily the best part of the film. Not a masterpiece, but a damn fine film and the first of 2020 that I flat out love.
