While I may actually enjoy it slightly more, I admire it much less than De Milles' film. But they're both very dull and long. Just no passion or life here. A few compelling moments or effects. Disagree with Scott's insistence on realism in showing miracles, where the challenge for other filmmakers is finding a way to create something unearthly but believable.
