Horror Hunt #29 (November 2020) Day #15
(Prompt 15: "Watch a film whose title starts with 'Night of the...'"
Lia: Just look at their faces. They look like monsters.
Max: They could be drunk. Or drugged. They probably don't intend to harm anyone.
Just how many names does this movie have? (Hell of the Living, Night of the Zombies, Virus, Zombie Creeping Flesh. Any others?). What the hell. Well, naturally, I'm going with Letterboxd's naming - mainly as it fits in meets the prompt requirement.
The opening scene involving a terrorist hostage situation is brought to a deadly conclusion very quickly. That's some no nonsense terrorist response right there.
I love the slow slumbering zombies slowly closing in on the motionless scientist. Hilarious stuff.... The sudden bellowing of the musical score kicking in is more startling than the actual zombies.
There are strange stock footage of animals in the nature that are just inserted randomly in between scenes. Very odd. The actual meat of the film isn't too bad, despite some dumb character actions, dodgy acting, and odd choice of camerawork. It's certainly not the one star trash that I thought it was going to be, but it does straddle the thin line between ludicrous nonsense and a half decent movie.
