I hadn't seen the first one prior to watching this one which I feel like was a little bit of a mistake after. But now after having watched both I can still come to say that I really enjoyed this film. It has reference after reference, calling back over and over to the previous Top Gun. The scenes in this film were amazing the stunts performed were enough to get my heart racing as I sat in the movie chair. And as well even without having watched the first one this still managed to make me get choked up at some points. This film really knows how to pull on your heartstrings when it so desires. The music was great and to be honest I can't fault much with the film. my only criticism however is that after watching the first Top Gun. This film REALLY is a Top Gun 2. by that I mean it sort of feels as though the story is structured the same way which may start to feel a bit repetitive. However this is small and did not ruin my experiences watching the two films at all. This film is definitely one to watch and I enjoyed it thoroughly. N
