What a turnaround for this film. I’ve actually watched this 3 times in the last 11 months, so it would be easy for me to give it a low score because I’m kind of sick of it. But actually, this film has grown on me significantly every time I’ve watched it.
Of course, it delivers fantastic performances from Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, and the entire cast not named Robert Downey Jr...This is almost David Fincher’s best film when it comes to how it’s made- the editing, cinematography, score, script, etc.
I love how realistic it is to the actual case as well. Fincher takes you through several different people who could all be the killer, and gives compelling cases for each. This film has been praised for how realistic it is and I love those aspects. If anyone can get that done, it’s Fincher. While I don’t want to watch this movie again anytime soon because I’m a bit sick of it, it’s still an incredible film.
