Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

A solid MCU movie with a good villain for once. Everything in Shang-Chi feels like an average marvel movie except for the martial arts sequences that we're outstanding during most of the time, and the cinematography that captures the beauty of that universe. The chemistry between the two leads is good, and Tony Leung is amazing as usual. I still struggle with the comedy especially Awkwafina's lines and the concept that isn't really original as well as the unnecessary scenes that could've been cut.

  • Annette

Annette is absurd, bold, provocative, weird. The story is surreal and complex but keeps the audience emotionally invested. Leos Carax's direction is masterful, the cinematography is beautiful, and Matt Driver's performance is great matching Carax's insanity. Might need a rewatch.

  • CODA

Despite being average and not very original. Coda is still very touching and heartwarming, a wonderful coming out of age story that evokes every emotion out of the viewer.

  • The Danish Girl

    The Danish Girl

Despite the historical inaccuracies and the whole movie being an oscar bait, i still find the story very emotional and heartbreaking. The filmmaking aspects are all great and the performances especially from Alicia Vikander are astonishing.

  • Zola

A bold, unique movie about a wild journey. It's entertaining, funny, and visually pleasing but struggles with the narration.

  • Black Widow

    Black Widow

Finally, Natasha getting closure. Well, it's fun, entertaining with an interesting story and good performances. It manages to get us emotionally involved throughout the story with the characters, not the best marvel but it does the job.

  • Luca

This Pixar is simple yet so impactful. It's refreshing, adventurous, and visually gorgeous.

  • Malcolm & Marie

    Malcolm & Marie

It really surprised me. I loved the way he depicted this complex relationship, the narcissism, the jealousy and how it escalated till the end. The writing was good, the cinematography was beautiful and ofc the acting was phenomenal.

  • King Kong

    King Kong

A truly epic movie , the first act is impressive, skull island is scary even tho it looked a bit cartoony at times.Naomi Watts is brilliant, and her relationship with kong is believable. It's still a really good movie , gorgeous and adventurous.
