  • Malignant

Malignant is a well-made horror movie with good performances and beautiful cinematography. James Wan's direction is great, he crafts each frame and scene with purpose and highlights our protagonist's disturbing situation. The story on the other hand is such a mess and it kinda is all over the place. It feels like a thriller more than a horror film with predictable twists and a weak third act that makes it hard to connect with the story or the characters.

  • Cinderella

    Too much pain.

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

A solid MCU movie with a good villain for once. Everything in Shang-Chi feels like an average marvel movie except for the martial arts sequences that we're outstanding during most of the time, and the cinematography that captures the beauty of that universe. The chemistry between the two leads is good, and Tony Leung is amazing as usual. I still struggle with the comedy especially Awkwafina's lines and the concept that isn't really original as well as the unnecessary scenes that could've been cut.

  • Annette

Annette is absurd, bold, provocative, weird. The story is surreal and complex but keeps the audience emotionally invested. Leos Carax's direction is masterful, the cinematography is beautiful, and Matt Driver's performance is great matching Carax's insanity. Might need a rewatch.

  • Stillwater

Interesting story that is heavily inspired by the Amanda Knox case, good performances in particular by Matt Damon and Camille Cottin but it's still a little bland, long and even boring at times. The direction and the photography are simple and effective. Kinda disappointing.

  • CODA

Despite being average and not very original. Coda is still very touching and heartwarming, a wonderful coming out of age story that evokes every emotion out of the viewer.

  • Free Guy

    Free Guy

Just Ryan Reynolds playing the same character over and over.

  • Old

Classic Shyamalan, always there to disappoint. My main issue with Old is the plot, yes the story is interesting but the execution was bad. The whole movie was predictable and often lacks logic, it focuses more on the mystery and thriller aspects and negligees the characters, their development, and the deep aspect of it making it really lacking depth and there are also so many unimportant scenes that add absolutely nothing to the plot plus the very disappointing third act.…

  • The Kissing Booth 3

    The Kissing Booth 3

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse.

  • Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

    Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

    Did not age well.

  • The Suicide Squad

    The Suicide Squad

    So much fun.

  • Mommy

"it is not because we love someone that we can save them"

What a powerful movie, incredible from start to finish. It's so personal and intimate that I feel like an intruder watching it. Such a unique experience gives us insight into this dysfunctional family and the relationship between the mother that after all attempts to protect her son and reunite her family and the son that is heavily affected by the trauma of losing his father. It's very emotional…
