An infuriating yet powerful effort from Shaka King. I still prefer his performance in Get Out, but Daniel Kaluuya continues to prove that he is one of the best actors working. For me though, Lakeith Stanfield is the standout of this one. What a great performance. The best work of his career so far, and he’s already done some legendary shit. For only his second full length feature, King’s direction is very competent and Sean Bobbitt‘s cinematography is beautiful. Overall, while not an easy watch, this is definitely tense and impressive.
