A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors 1987 ★★★★

“Hnnngh... what a rush.”

You can’t tell me that imagery was lost on you. I swear, the rape subtext goes right over your head as a teen, but it’s so blatant watching as an adult.

Mild spoilers, but I had completely forgotten that Nancy returned for this one. What a pleasant surprise! She lost to Freddy in the first movie, we hear about what became of her in Freddy's Revenge, and now she returns with the skills to finally defeat Freddy once and for all. Considering this, Dream Warriors completes a satisfying trilogy arc for her character which the existence of a 4th movie undoubtedly ruins like all horror franchises are want to do.
