I still think Alex Wolff’s best role is the naked brothers band
Edit: just saw Pig and he blew me away in that.
I need clarification. So in many of these Warner Bros. Film worlds, the world is just the movie it’s based on. Not an implied expanded world based on the films, but quite literally just the movie audiences know. So when they go to The Matrix world, it’s just the Matrix movie on repeat. And when they found Granny in the trinity role, She’s probably lived that scene countless times. That seems like a special kind of hell to be living.
Like 'funny games' in a car. Although maybe tonally closer to something like 'the exam' or one of those other bad guys kidnap people and do horrible things to them, movies that went right to a random dvd pack. But I do love movies about people going through the ringer and doing what they can to survive. This movie survives on a fantastic villain performance and some legitimate tension. High 3, maybe 3.5.
