It had been a little while and I forgot how much I love 3 Billboards, Martin McDonagh has a very particular writing style and humor that I guess some people don’t enjoy but it consistently resonates with me

Mildred and Dixon are very similar people operating from different positions of power, both are legitimately hurt and lash out inappropriately at a tangential target (beating down Red is the obvious one but going after Willoughby by name was also inappropriate), them coming together at the end seems like a feel-good type scenario but considering their past decision-making that’s not a given - I love that kind of ambiguity, one of the hallmarks of McDonagh’s work
