Begrudgingly watched this baby movie for completionist reasons (not only written by Kaufman but the sole screenplay credit) - but this Orion kid ended up being real af!!! Has a handful of clever moments and no real cringeworthy ones so not much else you can ask for. Hope the intellectual effeminate children around the world get to watch and enjoy this one.
Was not expecting much going in but there are some undeniably good vibes here. A lesser film would’ve been all static shots and structured compositions but I appreciate Wenders having the camera roam around a bit giving it more of a free-flowing quality, echoing the film’s contemplative tone. Sort of a populist slow cinema I can get behind.
