Rafael Jovine’s review published on Letterboxd:
I just love how Brando is the star of the poster and most memorable character of this first entry... yet, he barely shows up for less than 15 mins or so.
Started the new year with a fang and ending it with a bang (ahhh see what I did there?) - this is the epithome of family drama and gangster movies, and whoever says otherwise, well, in The Dude's own word: "Yeah, well, that's like your opinion man..."
What can I say that hasn't been told before? The acting is overall perfection, the cinematography is iconic, the production design is unique yet so great and the script is gold.
My copy didn't had any subtitles, so I didn't get a heck from most of Italy sequences. That would have to be my only nitpick.
All in all, watch this film and you will certainly love it. If you don't, watch it over and over and over and over again until you darn learn how to love it.
