• Husk

Husk definitely comes across a little inspired by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre at least I get Chainsaw Massacre vibes.
The film doesn't do much of a job of building a atmosphere, tension or developing characters instead it doesn't take long for the action to begin but it does have a reasonably short run time.
The characters just don't do it for me, they feel very bland and unlikable especially Natalie (Tammin Sursok) I'm sorry but her character just annoyed me…

  • Burning Bright

    Burning Bright

The film adaptation of the 1968 children's story The Tiger Who Came to Tea, is a little more violent than I expected.

  • Winter's Blood

    Winter's Blood

Pretty decent short I randomly choose to watch this one just so happened to be a little Christmassy but it was called Winter's Blood so there was always a chance it was going be Christmas based but anyway I digress.
I thought the main girl was on point, she did a really good job with what she had to do.
Some nice shots which worked well with the budget never doing too much just showing enough.
    As a short what…

  • The Santa Clause

    The Santa Clause

This will be a double review I guess, because I don't believe The Santa Clause series from 2022 is on here so I will Review it along side The Santa Clause original film from 1994 but anyway.
I think The Santa Clause 1994 just about has the right to be call a Christmas classic by this point I imagine it's become pretty regular viewing for people throughout the years since it's release.
Basically Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) one Christmas night…

  • Barbarian

Not a lot to say really, sure Barbarian was a decent enough Horror flick with some bizarre moments, but for me definitely over hyped.
Watching the film a little down the road after the hype maybe it didn't quite have the same effect on me.
I found Barbarian somewhat hard to rate might need a repeat viewing at some point.
Justin Long just showing up was just so awesome and awkward, Long should randomly just show up in more films.
They are my brief thoughts on this one.

  • Slash/Back

Not amazing but a decent enough time has a low budget feel, I really liked the films concept.
Slash/Back poor title I will say, was obviously inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing including a few references to The Thing also for me Attack the Block comes to mind when watching Slash Back.
The young cast are not always the strongest with their performance, but they make up for it with their interactions with each other and banter.
    It was nice…

  • Get a Clue

    Get a Clue

Every time I watch a Lindsay Lohan I cannot help and think why she isn't one of the biggest actresses at this point, but I digress.
Get a Clue also stars Brenda Song (Secret Obsession, Wendy Wu) Lohan and Song make a reasonably good team.
This made for Tv Mystery, Teen Drama is about a group of students who work together to investigate the disappearance of one of their teachers, nothing new to the made for Tv Disney films in…

  • Falling for Christmas

    Falling for Christmas

Falling for Christmas is this finally the start of a Lindsay Lohan come back, I truly hope so.

  • Frankenstein vs. The Mummy

    Frankenstein vs. The Mummy

Frankenstein vs. The Mummy 2015 directed by Damien Leone who brought us Terrifier 1 and 2 both which I haven't seen yet.
I wanted to watch Frankenstein vs. The Mummy to get a idea of Leone's style I guess, because I've heard a lot about Terrifier lately after the release of Terrifier 2 so I might want to give those films ago but anyway Frankenstein vs. The Mummy is a very low budget horror which looks like it plays off…

  • The Last Man on Earth

    The Last Man on Earth

The Last Man On Earth Tv series 2015-2018 Review
Obviously The Last Man On Earth the TV series isn't on Letterboxd but this is close enough I guess, so I will write my thoughts on the show here.
I got through the series pretty quick I kinda wish I slowed down so I could enjoy it for a little longer.
The main core group of characters I felt had a good dynamic, Todd(Mel Rodriguez) what a guy he was brilliant…

  • Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash

Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash

My thoughts on Hocus Pocus 25 Anniversary Halloween Bash were very mixed.
On one hand I enjoyed the interviews seeing the old cast such as Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker,Kathy Najimy,Thora Birch, Doug Jones and so forth along with director Kenny Ortega.
I liked seeing how they did the effects and how the film was put together and made and all the clips from Hocus Pocus.
Some of the stars reuniting after 25 years was nice to see.
    Vanessa Hudgens…

  • Black Adam

    Black Adam

They thought the selling point was Dwayne Johnson but in reality it was Pierce Brosnan.
Without Brosnan's presence the film would been even more tiresome.
