    I was wary going in to this, knowing that it has a reputation of being particularly understated and slow. With this being my 8th Nick Cage film of the year, he’s finally joint top of my most watched actors (fuck you Harry Potter) and while this certainly was a welcome change of pace, I did find myself becoming frequently disinterested. The story did actually become much more complex than I expected, but the payoff and emotional beats didn’t hit me as hard as I think they were hoping for.
