For years I’ve loved going to screenings at the WGA theater because their sound system is so precisely calibrated and indestructible.
Well either something was up with the digital print itself or RRR straight up blew their speakers. From the first scene on, the highs and lows (bass, explosions, gunfire, etc.) sounded audibly scratchy and distorted. Really bizarre!
It didn’t matter because the crowd (mostly newcomers) had a great time. It was a small but appreciative audience, super into it, laughing and clapping throughout, and I have no problem with my dues money going toward replacing whichever channels Ram & Bheem destroyed.
