Thank you M3GAN for kicking us off to a great 2023 start! What a surprisingly fun blast this was from beginning to end! The team behind M3GAN clearly knows what audience they are catering to and fully leans into the creep/camp factor. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this with my friends in a packed theater. M3GAN is PG-13 (originally Rated-R) but I feel the filmmakers stretched their limited Blumhouse budget and did good in pushing this rating at times. I’m looking…

Happy Death Day was a delightful treat upon first watch, back in 2017! Our lead, Tree, played by the wonderful Jessica Rothe kills it in this role! I love her character arch from beginning to end! She brings a lot of heavy lifting here to this movie and should have been a start making role!Β It’s Scream, plus Groundhogs Day, with a touch of Final Destination! High recommended!

Pearl is a very different movie then it’s predecessor. It takes it’s time, weaving us through this twisted story. Don’t go in expecting the same levels of sex and gore of β€œX” and audiences should have a lot of fun.

This movie is captured beautifully in the time period of the early 1900’s…

A prequel, made 13 years after the original, with the same actress (Isabelle Fuhrman). This movie has no business being as good as it is! I’m honestly shocked. Knowing the twist of the first film, I wasn’t expecting much from First Kill.

Surprisingly, this prequel managed to win me over! Maybe not as intense as the first film, but it still has that high B-movie feeling that shines through!

Kudos to the filmmakers here, casting child body doubles to maintain…
