I was looking forward to Bullet Train for a while and despite mixed reviews, I heard some good word of mouth, so I wasn't sure what to expect...Unfortunately it was more of a mixed bag for me.

I found myself having fun while watching it, it's a decent enough popcorn movie and I liked that it didn't take itself too seriously but at the same time I felt like it did. There's definitely two different tones going on and that just didn't work. It had a Deadpool or even Kingsman thing going for it, it just wasn't excuted as well as it was in those movies.

The cast is fun, the humor worked well for me for the most part. When things landed, they landed but other times it just fell flat.

Bullet Train is still a fun ride but it's missing a certain something that would have otherwise elevated this into a more memorable movie.
