How many actors became stars from being able to hold a static closeup of just sitting there and thinking? Pacino does it and it's so goddamn powerful it becomes a motif for the entire series. Seeing him master the art of acting for the screen in concert with Michael Corleone's own ascent to power .... Gotta love the cinema, baby.
