Ari Aster is quickly becoming one of my favorite horror filmmakers. Instead of making the typical paranormal/supernatural/jump-scare ridden horror film, Aster leans on the truly horrific: anxiety, grief, and just plain living. How one navigates the horrors of everyday life can be the most jarring to watch. Midsommar is a beautiful portrait of facing and overcoming one's anxieties and struggles head-on. Florence Pugh carries the film with a heart-wrenching and realistic performance. I felt truly tense and uncomfortable throughout much…

Absolutely stunning. It’s a slow burn, but I never felt bored. The chemistry between the two leads was incredible. The subtle glances, the simple touch in passing, the raw emotion that is portrayed without words - just beautiful. The way I felt during this film will stick with me for a while.

“Are you saying I’m some sort of MENTAL PERSON?!”

Such a cute & fun early ‘00s romcom. Full of cliches, cheesy writing and unrealistic scenarios but absolutely charming nonetheless. Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey have undeniable chemistry here (no surprise this wasn’t the only outing for the pair). This one will always be one of my favorites.

This is the kind of movie that just makes you feel happy to be alive. It will tug on your nostalgia strings and leave you yearning for youth. Damien Chazelle perfectly orchestrates this beautiful film in the best way possible. You fall in love with the characters and find yourself rooting for love. The cinematography, editing, score and performances all come together perfectly in this love letter to classic cinema. Long story short, go see it!!
