"He may have been your father, Quill, but he wasn't your daddy."
A charming, immensely entertaining, & uniquely beautiful addition to Marvel Studios' huge cinematic universe, James Gunn's second installment in his Guardians of the Galaxy "saga" Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is something that kinda blew me away after a first watch, and revisiting after so many months I have come to a conclusion that it's superior to the first. I love both of these so much and there ability to be creative, visually stunning, and just so much goddamn fun and heartfelt, it truly shows Gunn's greatness as a director. The heart, the comedy, the final emotionally perfect ending; everything comes together so perfectly and I love it dearly. 2017 is the year of CBM, and this definitely shows it.
