This is just one of many topics this DENSE film touches on, it also talks on spectacle, personal struggles and political work, the protracted nature of revolution (very appropriate to be released so near to the reversal of the cultural revolution)

the perfect adaptation. the imagery of the book was captured fantastically and then elevates it to fantastical heights.
