Carlie Ann’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is the most grotesque horror movie I’ve seen in such a long time and I loved every minute of it.
Some of the best horror movies are also mysteries - we wonder who is behind the mask, what’s going bump in the night, whether the person is haunted or if it’s a figment of their imagination. The mystery and backstory revealed in Malignant is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time and watching it unravel was a bit like seeing Billy Loomis revealed as Ghostface for the first time in Scream or Bruce Willis realising he’s dead in The Sixth Sense. Honestly I can’t wait to watch it again.
