Extremely atmospheric and deeply unsettling, The Witch is a horror film that truly got to me. The isolation and 1600s style religious paranoia of the family work to create such a feeling of unease. Part of me wishes for just a LITTLE more colour, but the dull tones work for the story it is telling
Anya Taylor-Joy is FANTASTIC in the lead, and it is an amazing debut film from Robert Eggers, and I am even more excited for the Lighthouse (if/when it gets an Australian release lol)
