Morgan DeAtley’s review published on Letterboxd:
“Don’t tell me you’re innocent.”
An epic that practically invented and shaped an entire genre as we know it. It’s equal parts moving and brilliantly put together. Directing, cinematography, acting (on the part of literally everyone), are all astounding. My only real problem is that I think a good few characters could’ve been fleshed out a bit more. But the ones that are fleshed out are done brilliantly by its two screenwriters. It’s as well regarded as it is for a reason.
