Morgan DeAtley’s review published on Letterboxd:
For me, Curse of the Black Pearl’s biggest and only *real* problem is that it’s just too repetitive. There’s an awful lot of geographical back and forth built into the plot when I feel like more variation would’ve helped it move along better.
That said, the dialogue is great, the setpieces are brilliant, and it sets up the world they build in the next two films wonderfully. I just wish I could enjoy this one in its entirety.
