  Ok..... so.

  I don't think i have the words to adequately describe what this film made me feel. Llosa's capturing of the trauma and rage of imperial rape, torture, death, and subsequent illnesses and effects is uncanny, and she does so WITHOUT THE DRAMATIZATIONS OF THE ACTS; though if one does not know the context of these traumas of the Peruvian people, the effects of the film may be lost or misguided on the viewer.
