Carter Moon’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is what it's all about, this is why film is important, these are the stories that need to be told, and this is how we should tell them. Unyielding, uncompromising, but deeply human and consistently dignified, this is where film should be in 2016. A beacon of hope in a dark cinematic and political landscape. A film that I'm grateful to have been alive to see in theaters, to feel the full force of both the impeccable cinematography and the expressive sound design. I won't easily forget Moonlight, and I'm so glad to see it's getting the recognition it so deserves.
