Bad Times at the El Royale

Bad Times at the El Royale ★★★★

I've got a lot of time for writer/director Drew Goddard, mainly due to The Cabin in the Woods and Netflix's Daredevil. However, this film felt very Tarantino-esque, but not in a bad way.

It's a dark and violent mystery/thriller centered around the titular hotel on a dark and stormy night. The structure, dialogue, black comedy, title cards, and characters all recall various QT films but I didn't mind. It's enthralling and unpredictable throughout.
