If I were to rate this based on how much I enjoyed it, it would be five stars. Sure, it has its fair share of flaws, but for whatever reason I just absolutely loved it. I don’t doubt that Austen Butler is to credit for about 85% of that enjoyment.
That being said, it was also one of my worst theater experiences. Halfway through the movie I got up and moved rows to separate myself from the people I went…

Somehow it’s better than I ever hoped or expected. Which is saying something because this movie has fueled my every breath since May 16, 2019.
Hopefully I will be able to write a full review soon because I have too many thoughts not to, but as of right now the thoughts are so scattered it would be a pointless battle to try to organize them all. But yeah, all you really have to know is that it is simultaneously 110% beautiful and 110% badass. It’s just perfect. Best of all, it understands the character of Batman so well it brings a tear to my eye.

I watched this in a theater alone aside from five much older people— two couples and a lone gentlemen. We didn’t say a single word to each other aside from the laughs and scares we shared, as well as a few acknowledging nods as we were all leaving. I’m not sure if they were glad I was there or even cared, but for some reason their presence made me happy.
Oh and the movie was really really good.
