Mitch Aldridge’s review published on Letterboxd:
The only reason I watched this is because I heard great things. And maybe it got overhyped for me, but this is straight up not good. It’s beautifully shot, and everything is creepy and weird which I like. But it is super rushed and the final act is really disappointing. It would benefit from even 30 more minutes or so.
I should say, I never saw the original one. It seems to be half remake, half sequel. I would likely appreciate it more if I’d seen first one. But as a stand-alone, this ain’t it chief.
