i don’t care if you like it
listen, when this movie started i thought it was a bold choice to cast Paul Schrader as the Weinsteinian Russian bad guy. but as someone who actually remembers the DVD cover of The Horse Whisperer, seeing Muppet Baby Widow (during a sequence that insists the writers didn’t only watch the opening credits of The Americans) reminded me that there are people with student loan debt who were born after 9/11. and they definitely don’t have context for Paul Schrader.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
this movie has literally everything:
-Blake Lively’s BDE
-someone finally putting Anna Kendrick in her place
-the best Jean Smart intro of all time
-the coolest Linda Cardellini since Freaks & Geeks
