  Seems like a lot of stuff didn’t make it to the final cut — jarring transitions between scenes during Scudder’s drinking binge, some dialogue referencing events that didn’t happen, and unconvincing relationships/character motivation.

  But then Andy Garcia offers everyone passion fruit snow cones out of his car trunk, and the movie’s problems fade away…
