  I feel like everyone has their own personal experience when watching a film. A lot of people might relate to a character, but everyone has their own reasons for relating to them. A different past that makes them relate. I first watched 'Your Name' sometime in the second half of 2017 and I must have watched it five more times before the year was over.   Jules Vaughn is the perfect example of what it's like to feel like a trans girl. There's no other media that has a character being this honest about their transness. Jules is a trans girl that doesn't wanna fit into the cis gendered norms of what it is to be a woman, she's willing to be herself instead. What Hunter Schafer has been allowed to contribute with to the character of Jules is the best thing that has ever happened to trans media. I'm so thankful to have this character in my life.
