    Germany will soon be empty. 

    Got to rewatch this in a theater, and it took it to an entirely different level. I don’t think anything is touching Everything Everywhere All at Once for Best Picture this Sunday, but the underdog-lover in me wouldn’t be the slightest bit upset if this somehow played spoiler. The defining movie of the genre. Nothing before is as good, and it’ll take something extraordinary to even be considered worth making after this. This is everything 1917 (a fine movie, don’t get me wrong) could have been.
