Okay, I loved this, which isn't what I thought would happen. Lighting McQueen's character growth is fantastic, especially for a young audience to see. The lesson that kindness will get you past that finish line with triumphant applause more than selfish ambition is something that I think even adults need to learn. How they wrote Doc's character, as reflective of how most industries treat older people as easily replaceable, was interesting to explore and I loved his character growth, too. The adult humour and overall world-building (especially Radiator Springs) also helped this cruise higher up in my Disney rankings.

Obi-Wan Kenobi 2022
Sure, this didn’t need to exist. Sure, it could have been one epic movie. But when Obi-Wan and Darth Vader duelled it out with the clash of their lightsabers illuminating my screen I felt the glee and chills that I don’t experience with just any film/TV show. I dread the day when Star Wars no longer has that effect.

The Breakfast Club 1985
I get what the film was trying to do by bringing together characters of different stereotypes, but I found it so insufferable to watch honestly. And Bender treats Claire like shit the entire movie, talks about how he wants to rape her, sticks his head up her skirt, and at the end she’s like, “I luv u bb kiss kiss.” Get outta here.
