Mikey Brzezinski’s review published on Letterboxd:
Just a stunning picture in every regard. The powerhouse of Thomas Vinterberg and Mads Mikkelsen have topped themselves with this bitter sweet and brutally human portrait of aging depression and microdosing alcoholism. It moves very weirdly but the balancing of tones always kept me in awe of the film. Using subject matter that is by all intents and purposes heavy and even sad at times but elevating to a realistically funny and sometimes shocking execution with the chemistry and charisma of all of its leads. Ironically intoxicating and sobering all at the same time. And the cherry on top is it's absolutely perfect ending. One of the best films of the year.
