We used to make REAL good horror movies about trauma! Love the way this weaponizes ignorant reductive Regan-era views on mental health, drug abuse, and angst against its protagonists and then allows them to completely (and literally) blow it up. Russell’s use of stop motion and minis in this is unparalleled as well. Good volatile stuff.
