Gamera: Super Monster 1980
I’ve finally made my way to the final film in the Showa era Gamera series, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Most of this movie is just old clips from the previous films put together with new footage. Almost all of the scenes with Gamera are taken right out of the previous movies. It feels more like a clip show with a plot strung together to get us from one fight to the next.

Jurassic Park 1993
One of the great blockbusters. File this under movies I wish I could travel back in time to see in a packed theater on opening night. Spielberg really knows how to craft great works that pack in so much. I love the scenes that play up the horror or tragedy of it all. The raptor scenes are straight up slasher homages. John Hammond is a great tragic character. His noble pursuit to give the world Dinosaurs is foiled by nature and chaos. Life does find a way.
