This was the second time I watched this movie and it was just as absolutely insane and energetic as the first time. Bruce Campbell gives one of the most iconic horror performances of all time, he's great in the first in one but him being more learned about the cabin and forest through his perseverance in the original but still having the physical dedication and slap stick comedy from the first makes for one of the most entertaining characters of all time. I also have a neverending appreciation for Sam Raimi's direction, he's so evidently being unapologetically himself and he wears his influences and love of films on his sleeve while never feeling derivative at all. I don't really love the recap in the beginning and understand the confusion around but with the legal issues they had it does make sense this is the route they'd take and honestly even it's so good that I hardly care.
